Keka Hours Tracker (“the extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that helps you view your attendance and work hours from your company’s Keka HR portal. This policy describes what information the extension handles and how it is used.
The extension is published by Kashyap Thakar. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Keka Technologies.
*.keka.com), the extension reads your existing session token from that site so it
can call Keka’s attendance APIs on your behalf. You do not enter a separate password in the
extension.
All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s
chrome.storage.local API. This includes your session token, Keka base URL, cached
attendance data, badge state, and settings. Nothing is uploaded to servers operated by the
extension developer.
Data is used only to provide the extension’s features, including:
The extension does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
The extension communicates only with your company’s Keka subdomain (*.keka.com)
using the APIs that Keka’s web app already uses. No other external servers receive your data.
The extension requests Chrome permissions solely to:
*.keka.com
Data remains in chrome.storage.local until you remove the extension, clear extension
data in Chrome, or sign out of Keka (which invalidates the session token). Uninstalling the
extension removes locally stored data.
The extension is intended for working adults using an employer-provided Keka account. It is not directed at children under 13.
This policy may be updated when the extension changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
