Keka Hours Tracker (“the extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that helps you view your attendance and work hours from your company’s Keka HR portal. This policy describes what information the extension handles and how it is used.

Who operates this extension

The extension is published by Kashyap Thakar. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Keka Technologies.

Information the extension accesses

• Session authentication — When you are signed in to your company’s Keka site (*.keka.com), the extension reads your existing session token from that site so it can call Keka’s attendance APIs on your behalf. You do not enter a separate password in the extension.
• Attendance and work-hour data — The extension requests attendance summaries, punch times, leave, holidays, and related HR data from Keka’s APIs using your session.
• Your settings — Weekly targets, daily minimum hours, office hours, theme, and notification preferences you configure in the extension.

How information is stored

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API. This includes your session token, Keka base URL, cached attendance data, badge state, and settings. Nothing is uploaded to servers operated by the extension developer.

How information is used

Data is used only to provide the extension’s features, including:

• Displaying daily and weekly hour summaries, charts, and calendar views
• Showing a live clock-in counter and estimated leave time
• Updating the extension toolbar badge and optional desktop notifications for goals

The extension does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Network requests

The extension communicates only with your company’s Keka subdomain (*.keka.com) using the APIs that Keka’s web app already uses. No other external servers receive your data.

Permissions

The extension requests Chrome permissions solely to:

• Read your Keka session from pages on *.keka.com
• Call Keka attendance APIs and show the tracker UI on Keka pages
• Store settings and cache locally
• Show optional goal notifications and periodic badge updates

Data retention and deletion

Data remains in chrome.storage.local until you remove the extension, clear extension data in Chrome, or sign out of Keka (which invalidates the session token). Uninstalling the extension removes locally stored data.

Children

The extension is intended for working adults using an employer-provided Keka account. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the extension changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
